Word living Spirit Living

John 17:13-26

"I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.

14  I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.

15  My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

16  They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

17  Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

18  As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

19  For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

20  "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

21  that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

22  I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:

23  I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

24  "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

25  "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.

26  I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."

Deuteronomy 8

8:1  Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the LORD promised on oath to your forefathers.

2  Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

3  He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.

4  Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.

5  Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.

6  Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and revering him.

7  For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land--a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills;

8  a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey;

9  a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.

10  When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.

11  Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.

12  Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down,

13  and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied,

14  then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

15  He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.

16  He gave you manna to eat in the desert, something your fathers had never known, to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well with you.

17  You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me."

18  But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

19  If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed.

20  Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.

Last sermon we revealed the wonder of the opening of the Holy of Holies to all who believe. When Jesus died the curtain that separated the inner court and the Holy of Holies was torn from top to bottom. Now please remember that this curtain was approximately 4-6 inches 10-15 cm thick. This allowed the transfer of the temple of God to move into us and allowed us to be able to approach the Spirit, the presence of God through our High priest Jesus Christ who was also the blood sacrifice. Praise God.

Okay so if the temple is in I and I may approach through faith in Christ. What is it that is Keeping me out of Godfs presence what is it that is separating me from the products of the spirit. What is it that is keeping the power that is available to me still out of my reach? What is it that is keeping the kingdom of God out of my life?

Today we are going to take a look at these questions

First let us look at the Kingdom of God.

Let me start by telling you that when you made your decision to join the Kingdom of God System you also attracted enemies to this system. The World is your enemy and it will do whatever it can and say whatever it can to talk you out of doing it Godfs@way. This is where most of us are now. We mix the systems. We so often fall into believing the world and thus we fall and forfeit those blessings that the Kingdom promises.

Faith is not a movement, not a fad, a phase, a hobby. It is not just an option. It is a life.

 Matthew 4:4

"It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

Bread nourishes the physical body but we do not live by bread alone for we have left the physical flesh in the outer court. Now we must feed the inner man. The only healthy food for the inner man is every word that proceeds from the mouth of God

 So man should live how?

So man should live how?

And if man lives by every word that precedes from the mouth of God what system is he living by?

If man lives by every word that precedes from the mouth of God what system is he living by?

Every word that proceeds from the mouth of God tells us about His Kingdom. That is what I want to live by. When you are hearing words that come out of somewhere else but it is not the word of God, you donft need to pay attention to it. You donft need to live by that. I donft want to live by that I donft want to base my living by what a stranger say, by what a doctor says, by what my family says, by what my workmates say, by what the media says or movies say or political correctness say or by what my enemies say. I donft want to base my living off anyone elsefs words but only on the word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

When you make this decision when you decide to base your life on this system and live off the word of God then you come into the full presence of God Himself and put pressure on Him to produce in this physical world.

But if you mix the worldfs way with the Word if you pick and choose which you will follow depend on the circumstance then you get nothing.

This Bible is my final authority and thatfs what Ifm going to line up with and live buy. All God is waiting for is someone to into that Bible, that word and make a decision that, that is what God said and that is the way it is and not listen to what someone else says.

Do you have more faith in what that person says of you than what God says in His Word.

When something is in the will of God, in the Word of God then  you should be able to go into the world as Moses went before the Pharaoh and say as Moses said gThe Lord said thish gThis is what the Word saysh Is this not the faith that God asks of us, to stand up and tell  the mountain to move. Is this not the system that he asks us to be part of. Invites us into and offers the power. The same power he offered Moses. He is there to back you up. One other thing we should remember about Moses is that Pharaoh was practically family, he was returning home and It must have been hard for him but He@wasnft living by that system anymore. He was kingdom living. We to find it hard to go against our own families to give the good news to those closest to us. If this is you Moses is a great example of what it means to be living by every word that precedes from the mouth of God.

We need to build confidence

Letfs try repeat after me

I live for every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. That is how I live. That is Kingdom living. Praise God

 Romans 1:16

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

The word of God is the power of God to everyone who believes.

What is power?

It is the ability to do the job.

So letfs rephrase this: It is Godfs ability to get the job done to those that believe the word is the ability to get the word done.

The word is His Power

 Hebrews 1:3

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

This is often translated as The word of power. Now that seems odd why not say the power of his word but the emphasis is on the word of power again the word is his power

Now letfs look at the amplified translation

He is the sole expression of the glory of God(the Light Being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine) and He is the perfect imprint and very image of (Godfs) nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by his mighty word of power.

 Wow!!!!

Upholding and maintaining and guide and propelling the universe

Can you see the word of power? Can you see how insignificant all else is in comparison to the word, to the system, to the kingdom of God. It propels the universe but you raise others words above His, you raise the world above Him.

The word is the power of God

If you believe that all things are held up by My Word and you become skillful and effective in handling My Word He says you are going to have My power transferred to you through the word. My ability to get the job done will come to you through the word of God

 Romans 1:16

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Letfs take a closer look at this and in particular the word salvation. We must separate out thought that salvation simply means born again to get a full understanding of the salvation lives we are to be living. As Ifve said before so many of us stop at the cross. But Jesus was resurrected and we are to live the lives of the spirit through the word as was common in the New Testament church. When we look at the great we can see salvation so-tay-ree'-ah talks about the productions of the Kingdom of God or work of the spirit. All these productions come through the word and the Spirit.  ‚P) deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation  1a) deliverance from the molestation of enemies  1b) in an ethical sense, that which concludes to the souls safety  or salvation  1b1) of Messianic salvation  2) salvation as the present possession of all true Christians  3) future salvation, the sum of benefits and blessings which the  Christians, redeemed from all earthly ills, will enjoy after the  visible return of Christ from heaven in the consummated and  eternal kingdom of GodB@Deliverance, Healing, Preservation: the same salvation that God promised the Jews during the exodus. This is where we must pull these closer together.

We believe that the Bible is inspired by God more particularly thorough the will of the Spirit. So in that The Spirit and the word are in cinq, this also brings us to bringing in John 1

It also ties into Hebrews 1:3 which also describes Christ and brings him together with the Word and the power. So if we want to live salvation living, Christ living, Word living and Kingdom living than we must follow Matthew 4:4.

What God is looking for is a group of people living by the system of the word of God so that no matter what happens they arenft affected because they are working on a whole different system. But many people in the church are not operating by this system but on a mixed system of their own making, therefore subject to the world system and not the Kingdom.

How many of us put the world system above the Word System, than Godfs system. Godfs system can not be defeated and so neither can you.

Greater in you

Godfs system always wins in you if you bring it in. It doesnft happen overnight, It happens over time with practice falling repenting seeking and knocking

Through the Word (the will of the spirit) also comes the production and presence of the Holy Spirit

Over the last while we have spoken a lot about the Spirit and coming into its presence. How Jesus promised that each of us would be baptized in the Spirit and that greater miracles would come through the believers of Christ.

400 years ago with the reformation, the Word was restored to its people so that true faith and a true living in the Word could occur. I believe now is the time for this more than ever. That if we could truly live the kingdom life by living by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Then we would be moving in a new period, a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. In a way we will go through a new Exodus. An Exodus that will free us to truly be Godfs people, lead by the Spirit and baptized in the Spirit.
